ABOUT PICCACA
PICCACA is an innovative brand aimed at redefining simplicity in the little things in our daily lives: even when walking your dog, it can be classier, cleaner, and easier!
The idea for PICCACA first emerged from the mind of the eccentric Dr. T.C. Ng (or just “TC“ as they call him back in his homeworld of Mars lol) – a Hong Kong professional with a background in designing a variety of forceps-inspired projects as a hobby.
He first invented dental forceps and went on to design “scooping“ tools which were used in various outer space missions, including Mars Express by the European Space Agency. His concept design was adapted in an ultra-small pen-shaped gadget that purposed in the collection of soil samples for analysis.
TC, a self-confessed daydreamer, realized one day during one of his daydreams that picking up doggo poop on Earth could be as troublesome and exhausting as collecting soil samples in space!
Looking at TC’s designs having been involved in great things beyond his little world makes us wonder if we can bring the concept into little things in our world too. Perhaps our small step for man could begin with scooping up after our dogs!
ABOUT THE PRODUCT
CHANGE THE HABIT, CHANGE THE WORLD! PICCACA was designed with natural and disposable raw materials that prioritize sustainable environmental friendliness. We aim to enhance your convenience by providing a cleanup tool that removes direct contact when picking up after our pets and swaps out the age-old habit of using plastic bags. Doggo parents can thus walk their dog with elegance and cleanliness. And yes, PICCACA is also applicable for other kinds of animals, not only dogs!
PICCACA is made up of two parts: the “Bone“ and the “Paw“.
The Bone is an adjustable stick that is the key to keeping your hands clean and, well, looks like a bone! Acting as an extension of your hands, owners need not bend over or get onto their knees and experience your dog’s all-too-familiar warmth and texture when scooping after them. The Bone is constructed from Polypropylene plastic with high gas and water permeability resistance and is ergonomically designed for dog owners to wield comfortably.
The Paw, which is the other component that connects to the Bone, is the eco-friendly collecting box. Going a step further, PICCACA chooses to adopt biodegradable sugarcane-based materials when creating this folding paper box to keep up with our focus on environmental consciousness, instead of using disposable plastics. The Paw’s design is an evolution of the scooping tools that TC designed and sent on outer space missions – outer space technology is now within our grip to keep the environment and our hands cleaner than they already are.
